Cas Sit
This is a building constructed at the beginning of the 20th century, like many others, with capital originating from emigration to France. Its façade, built in grey stone, stands out and follows a Modernist style. Of particular interest are the large entrance portal and the wrought-iron balcony railing, richly decorated and supported by corbels, extending across the entire floor. Also noteworthy are the adjacent stone columns, which, although currently belonging to another property, were originally part of Cas Sit.
This building was constructed next to the so-called Pont dels Ases, a bridge already documented in the 16th century and located on a route through which sources say the corsairs who attacked Sóller on 11 May 1561 passed, an event commemorated in the local festival known as Es Firó.
