This building, constructed by Jaume Frontera Busquets “Poporrosso”, consists of three storeys. It has a restrained façade, and decoration is concentrated on the door and windows, using straight stone lines in relief. The decoration is geometric at the keystone and more undulating in the windows of the upper floor. The balcony and windows feature wrought-iron railings combining curved and straight lines.
Frontera had emigrated to Marseille and later to Belfort (France), where he established a fruit business. In 1952 the property passed to Antoni Colom Bernat and from him to the current owners.

This house is located on Carrer de l’Alqueria del Comte, which, as its name indicates, was part of the territories conquered and owned by Ponç Hug, Count of Empúries. With urban growth, the neighbourhood was integrated into the town as an extension of Carrer de la Lluna.
